A Versatile and Charismatic Actress Aditi Rao Hydari has shaped a place for herself in Indian Cinema with her charm, talent and versatility. She is known for her graceful and excellent performances while travelling between Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam films.

Who is Aditi Rao Hydari?

Aditi Rao Hydari was born on the 28th of October in Hyderabad, Telangana to Ahsan Hydari and Vidya Rao. Her father is an Engineer, her mother is a Classical singer, and her parents are from a noble family. She has no siblings because her parents were separated when Aditi was 2. Aditi was sent to a boarding school named Rishi Valley School near Madanapalle in Andhra Pradesh. Later she graduated from Shri Ram College University of Delhi in Arts. She was trained in Bharatanatyam when she was 6 years old. She said she wanted to keep her parent’s surnames ‘Rao and Hydari’.

Aditi started her acting career with the Tamil film Sringaram in 2004 where she fully displayed her classical dance background, and she earned applause from the critics for her Devadasi role. After this performance, her entry into Bollywood was a high point for her. She gained attention for a smaller role in Delhi-6 in 2009.

Her Journey in South Indian Cinema started with the film Kaatru Veliyidai directed by Mani Ratnam. She played Alauddin Khilji’s first wife role as queen Mehrunisa opposite Ranveer Singh in the film Padmavat where she won a ‘Best Supporting Actress Award’ at the IIFA Awards.

In 2018 she debuted as a leading actress in the Telugu film Sammohanam for that film she was awarded a ‘Best Debut Actor – Female’ by the Zee Cine Awards. In 2020 in the film V, she played Nani’s wife character Saheba in the film her screen space was limited but she gained applause from the critics.

In 2022 she did a Tamil film Hey Sinamika sharing a screen with Dulquer Salmaan. In 2023 she did an Anarkali role in the web series Taj Divided by Blood.

In the same year under the direction of Vikramaditya Motwane, she played a role in the web series Jubilee for which she won the ‘Best Popular Actress’ award OTT.

Along with that in the same year, she also won Distinctive International Arab Festival Awards for Outstanding Contribution to the Entertainment Industry.

In 2024 she did a web series in a courtesan role in Heeramandi along with the co-actress Sonakshi Sinha and Manisha Koirala in the direction of Sanjay Leela Bhansali which streamed on Netflix.

Aditi gained huge applause from the audience all over the world for the role of Bibbojan. In the same year, she won the Most Stylish Classic Beauty of the Year Award. Aditi Rao Hydari married Siddharth Suryanarayan who is also an actor, singer and producer they met on the sets of Maha Samudram in 2021 after 3 years of their relationship they got engaged on 28th March and also got married on September 16th, 2024, the Sri Ranganayaka Swamy Temple which has great significance located in Wanaparthy District, Telangana.

Hydari also advertised for the brands Loreal Paris, Airtel, Cadbury and Avon. She was also featured as the Most Desirable Women in Times 50 list. She was also ranked 6th in 2018, 9th and 16th in the years 2019 and 2020. Her future films were Gandi Talks along with Vijay Sethupathi and Arvind Swamy and Lioness in English along with the co-actor Paige Sandhu.
